As they say, one’s age determines how long have you lived with the different creations of God, how well have you spent His gifts and how much you have shared those blessings you’ve received.
The creation of NARTDI was made possible through the concerted efforts of DMMMSU officials, Institute staff and various political leaders who, by all means, continuously give out support to the apiculture industry. Republic Act 9151 was the basis for the abolition of ATDC thus, authorizing the creation of NARTDI. This RA was published on September 19, 2001 therefore making the 5th of October its official anniversary.
For more than a decade, NARTDI has already proven its worth as a national institute who does not only serve people but the environment as well.
With its twelve model beekeeping communities (Regional and Provincial Apiculture
Centers), the beekeeping industry persistently grows as more and more enthusiasts are being attracted. With the interest of the staff of the Institute, the 1st NARTDI Foundation Anniversary Celebration was held on October 4, 2013 at the Audio Visual Room, BPAA Building, DMMMSU-NLUC, Bacnotan, La Union.
