Various Colleges in the South La Union Campus exhibited their extension projects at the Jose D. Aspiras Hall last January 16, 2023, in celebration of the 42nd Foundation Anniversary of the University.

The one-day Extension Exhibit and Bazaar featured the Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubator products such as roselle juice, bangus in oil bottled products, chevon in retort pouch, and RTE Project outputs namely ready-to-eat vacuum fried, hygienically dried fish products.

The College of Computer Science displayed their faculty-developed technologies such as the JUAN app and the D-VINA app or the DMMMSU Voice Interface Narrator application which was designed to promote and increase awareness about the University’s philosophy, vision, mission, goals, and important policy statements. The College of Arts and Sciences on the other hand displayed the products of their psychological wellness beneficiaries at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.

Other colleges displayed their project posters in visible areas at the gymnasium such as the College of Graduate Studies’ MOOC Camp under Project IELTS, the College of Fisheries’ Project FEAST, College of Agriculture’s Off Season Production of Tomato and Pepper, College of Community Health and Allied Medical Sciences’ Health Awareness program, College of Education’s Project STITCH, and College of Arts and Sciences’ Bioliteracy and Sipag-asa Projects.

Spearheaded by the Extension Head of the Campus, Mr. Ronald Bustos, along with Extension Facilitators and ATBI project management staff, the activity is aimed at introducing extension as one of the crucial mandates of the University to guests, and students and encouraging faculty members to increase their extension involvement.
